Why I Keep Writing About Vivek

A Personal Reflection on Grief and Memory

Reflections Reflections 27 September 2024

When writing turns obsessive, it empties the heart and mind. My sporadic outpourings about Vivek are a symptom of this compulsion. As long as they cause no harm, I let the words flow, understanding that they sometimes cause pain to others, some of whom share my own experience of loss.

I have not lost Vivek. Loss implies little chance of retrieval or recovery. He was a gift from God, now returned to Him. And as Christians, we hold to the Gospel's promise that we shall all be reunited in that divine realm. So I hope you will bear with my occasional writings about Vivek.
