Undoubtedly we are passing through turbulent times in our country. We are much concerned with governance, freedom, and peace. The future appears unpredictable and at times bleak. The country is groaning for redemption, and as faithful people we must perform our duty. Now many will ask what can we, a mere minuscule of the population, do? Some may even cross over, backsliding on their faith. What comes to my mind is Deuteronomy 7:6-7: "For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people." This small number is empowered by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we must decree.
Let us decree Holy Spirit empowerment, strategies, and the angel armies to assist the Church in binding hell's tactics and loosing free the Gospel of the Kingdom of Jesus.
Yes, we can do that. Recall what Jesus said: "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven" (Matthew 16:19). If you do purposely and consciously involve yourself in binding an issue on earth, you will find that at the future moment it is already bound in Heaven. What Jesus said, paraphrased, is this: if it is bound by My people in My name, Heaven will back it up. My throne will rule in your favour, and sufficient spiritual force will be released to enforce it, and My angel army will be at your disposal.
Let us listen to Job 22:28: "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." Therefore let us decree: the Church is the strongest force on earth. We declare that we will strive till we are unshackled, and see reformation in the name of Jesus Christ.
Our call is to attack the powers of darkness through prayer and decrees. Followers of Christ are here to war against Hell's binding, and to stop its business in our country today. Our Lord said: "... I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18).
While we have a responsibility to respond aggressively against some things, we are not to respond in favour of everything. I read Paul in Ephesians 6:10-12 thus: Faithful one, if you encounter principalities, step forward boldly; do not back up. If you see powers, step forward. If you see spiritual wickedness in high places, do not back down. You have dominion authority over all that; step forward. Seek the Lord; in Him is the strength for warfare.
Pray fervently, while you are alone, in communities, and in worship services. Amen.
