Deuteronomy 1:17 — "...ye shall not be afraid of the face of man: for the judgment is God's..." (King James Version)
I saw this verse today, shared by a friend within the group, and it settled a concern that had been lingering within me. Every word our Lord speaks is powerful, but today this one brought a deep sense of assurance.
Intimidation is often the weapon of the unrighteous, used to force their way. People find it easy to join issues with such people. But the righteous are called to stand differently—with clarity of thought, ethical conviction, and above all, spiritual integrity. What would Jesus do? That question must remain our guiding light in every difficult moment.
Personally, intimidation does not move me; I stand strengthened in the Lord, with a conscience led by the Holy Spirit. Yet in group situations, it is striking how easily many lose sight of the true purpose under pressure.
This verse reminds me firmly: we are not to fear people or pressure, for the final judgement rests with God. So we stand steady, speak truth, and remain anchored in Him.
